Is it the genuinely impassioned sounding vocals? The tempo changes keeping things fresh? That the music rises and falls in intensity? Melodies that are more interesting than tremolo picking the same 3 notes? All of the above? I don't know, but this album just does it for me. Favorite track: IV.
